We all spend a lot of time on the road. However, we don't often think of what could go wrong while traveling from here to there. It should be common practice to have a roadside emergency kit in your car, and here are a few items to keep in mind:
  • Compass
  • Emergency radio
  • Flare gun
A compass is great to have on hand in case you get lost and need to know which direction you are traveling. We aren't all super survivalists so this is a fantastic thing to have around. Emergency radios generally can be charged by a hand crank, making it very useful in a situation where you have no batteries or power. A flare gun is a must have, especially out in the wilderness, you can use it to signal help, or even to scare off wild life that may threaten your safety. If you just keep these particular items in mind, you may just be a little safer on the side of the road if you're ever unfortunate enough to be stranded.
